I use LFO Tool on every track to shape my synth tones. I use it in almost every track. There's a lot of flexibility here -- it's not just restricted to side-chaining.
This is a MUST have! LFOtool is seen in multiple channels during this video. Probably my favorite sidechaining plugin. We love it because it is so consistent every time.

This Plugin can be seen at 1: It's got a lot of options, nice filters and it's cpu friendly too. These vocals are very much in the background, I just wanted to add some texture really quickly.

Lfotokl tool is crashing with the new cubase 7 and I'm crying over here: I love using this plugin for standard sidechaining, though that's probably just scratching the surface of what this plugin can do Trance gate, mostly, but sidechaining with this is easier lfotoool messing around with bus routing and ghost kicks in Logic.
They are my main plug-in vocal reverbs, and the green tracks below are pitched with the Elastic Audio X-Form [in Pro Tools] and effected with the Waves H-Compressor for a pumping effect. It empowers music producers to create tremolo, auto-pan, trance-gate, side-chain compressor simulation, and dubstep-type wobble effects with minimal effort.

However it is definitely a more than meets the eye product. But you can pfotool change it to make it like your classic sidechain. Ua with my new computer, and I'm mostly using it for side-chain. He can really fine tune the delay times and decay lengths and so on. Xfer makes good plugins already but this is one of the best! This software has many great features.
